The Olympus E-PL5 Review

olympus epl5 camera guide

The Olympus E-PL5, has similar features as the Olympus OM-D. Regardless of similarity, the performance is very high.
It has launched two cameras replacing the E-PL and E-PM range on the bottom and in the middle line up part. Although it replaces the E-PL3 it still contains 16.million sensor pixel and an image processor like the Olympus OM-D. The screen is magnificent and marries itself together with previous PEN relies series, which are both a touch screen and tillable. Unlike other cameras that are currently available in the market, there is an inbuilt WI-Fi compatible with Toshiba wireless LAN cards and therefore transferring of images or data across a tablet or Smartphone is much easier.

In the light of stiff completion, the Olympus EPL5 is really playing a major ace in marketing pitch and essentially the OM-D retains a user-friendly status. One useful benefit of Olympus is the capability of quick focusing speed and offering a powerful DSLR within the pocket compact dimensions. Headline resolution boosted up to 16 megapixels. This enhances an ability of shooting to at least 8 frames for action photography in a second.

olympus digital camera
The Olympus has a BLS-5 lithium battery, rechargeable and stand alone charger. The battery life stands out to be useable for more than 360 shots of full charge.
For someone who is trading up from one simple snapshot to interchangeable lenses for the first time, the Olympus has a more reasonable price at first glance. There is a comparatively little or no default if EPL-5 is the option.
Looking very attractive and stand outs as gorgeous as OM-D, on the top of EPL-5 is a hot shoe room for accessory flash.
An instantaneous plus point is that it powers up instantly and a full complement shoot mode dial is raised within the manual control , second by various shooting options and automatic points.

The Olympus E-PL5 is clearly a versatile arrangement compared to the previous released versions. It is just the greatest and best to get along with.

Sony NEX 6 – Features, Specs, Review & More!

sony nex 6 digital camera reviewThe latest addition in Sony’s NEX range mirrorless cameras is Alpha NEX-6. It has features which surely will attract all lovers of photography. Like NEX-5R it also has a sensor of 16.1 megapixel along with a hybrid AF system. There is a conventional mode dial in this camera, which is first in the NEX series. Besides two function buttons there are also 2 control wheels.
Viewfinder – the most unique feature
One of the most impressive features of NEX-6 is the OLED viewfinder (2.3 million pixels). Among all other mirrorless cameras, this one is the lowest priced that comes with a viewfinder. Images have excellent resolution and high sharpness. Besides, there is also a 921k dotted LCD screen for taking angled shots which are difficult to be taken using viewfinders.
Connectivity
There is inbuilt Wifi system in this camera along with loads of installed apps and the ability to install new apps. But it becomes a bit difficult to use them due to the absence of touchscreen features. According to some, the Wifi system is heavily flawed, since users have to use different passwords every time while connecting the camera to the PC.
Image quality
Without any doubt, like all other SONY cameras, NEX-6 also captures high quality images with great sharpness and very low noise using ISO 3200. Even at ISO 1600 it has better noise handling capacity than other professional SLR cameras. Photographed images are sharp and well focused with good detailing throughout the image. Light to dark tones can also be differentiated up to a wide range with the help of the APS-C sized sensor.
Apart from image quality there are other extra features like power zoom which is the first in the range of cameras by SONY. NEX-6 also comes with a 16-50 mm lens which is useful for steady and silent zoom while shooting video. In short, at about $1000, this camera is almost flawless and the best tool to be used by any professional photographer.

It has the ISO menu for setting the range of the camera. To addition to this, one can also set a minimum speed for the shutter before automatically setting the ISO option.

Here you can also customise your function button in areas like image size, image quality, white balance, picture control, metering ISO, ND and VR filter, AF area mode. The feature of the continuous mode of shooting comes with 120/60 fps shooting, interval timer, and the high speed shooting.

The Camera has the capability of remembering the previous zooming settings, or you can set that manually again.

What the GPS on the other side gives you is some options like log, points of interest, camera’s time synchronising capability.

Speed : A number of experimental shots were taken by our team to take the test of the responsiveness of the camera. For this we are taking an approach to remark on the basis of the average performance from right after switching on the camera, then taking the first photo, then shot after shot ,while also considering the focusing speed.

The shutter response was noted at 0.20 seconds, even when we used the manual focusing system, which we remark as slow noticeably.Focus at the telephoto end was also slow, but at the wide-angle end it was quick. With full resolution at 8fps it was a good. continuous shooting experience.

The size of the RAW file here is 24MB. The camera takes around 1 minute and 16 seconds for recording the memory card before actually we could use the camera again. For taking FINE JPEGS ,the camera took 22 seconds for writing 10 photos to the card.

Battery : According to the NIKON/CIPA results of test, the life of the battery of this camera is rated with 200 shots. So if you are away from the charger , we recommend that you take one secondary battery .The remark here is the battery life of this camera is just like the battery life of other compact cameras.
